Item Description
11.75x15.75x3" deep box w/non-Disney illustrated lid contains Marx set No. 934, which consists of five tin litho O-Gauge train cars and engine along w/special original key in envelop and complete number of track pieces; six straight, eight curved. 1950s. Ends of box lid have correct set number markings and box comes w/three original cardboard sleeves for engines/cars. Penciled price on side panel of box. Lid shows some scattered wear w/edge/corner crease and some color rubs, but retains its shape and is Fine overall. 10.5" long engine w/built-in key has image of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck at the controls, Mickey's and Donald's nephews on sides. All other cars are 7.25" long. Coal car has images of Mickey, Donald and Dwarf. Gondola has images of Jiminy Cricket, Pluto and Dwarfs. Freight car w/sliding doors has images of Dumbo, Joe Carioca and the Three Little Pigs. Caboose has images of Bambi, Pinocchio, Bongo and Lulubelle. Set has a few tiny paint nicks/scratches to engine and cars but o/w retains a bright and glossy appearance. Engine runs well, however missing flint and does not spark as designed. Flint can be easily replaced if so desired. Set displays Exc. and is as nice as these come.
