Item Description
Lot of 11, published between May 1942 and March 1953 by Popular Fiction Publication Co. Lot features great fantasy and horror covers, featuring anthropomorphic ship, monsters, witch, demons, ghosts, satyr and a variety of fantastic creatures. Condition varies; a few are VG while a few are in choice, Fine condition while most are VG/Fine. Majority of pages are cream in color and remain supple. Lot includes two Jan. 1947 issues. One in US while other is Canadian issue (w/5¢ higher price). The second series of "Weird Tales" (May 1942 to Nov. 1951) were reprinted overseas and in Canada. Both US and Canadian editions featured different cover art and often had rearranged features. This difference in publication continued until Jan. 1948 when both editions were printed the same. The Jan. 1947 issues offered here feature different covers and the Canadian edition has some contents from the Sept. 1946 US edition.
