Item Description
Original plain cardboard box w/illustrated end panel contains 17" tall well-made cloth doll w/starched linen face w/nice painted facial expression and yarn hair. Felt accents on fringes, shoes and chest piece. Stitched leatherette belt w/her name and back reads "Howdy Doody." Felt on chest depicts images that translate to her name. Doll wears necklace w/matching plastic charms and glass marble, though aged and designs have faded slightly. Ahmco Products Inc., 1950s. Box has end label w/Princess image and name. Box shows heavy and obvious wear w/edge piece of lid missing, heavy creases and tape reinforcements to interior. Good and just comes along. Doll shows little to no wear and bright and clean. Small spot of staining on cheek, wear to moccasins and some lt. dust soiling to felt chest piece. VF. Necklace is Fine/VF. Rare and only the second example of this doll we've been able to offer complete w/the even rarer box in our 53 years.
