Item Description
10" long cast iron cap gun w/nickel plating and Tenite plastic stag grips w/incised/painted "Roy Rogers" name. This is the first Roy Rogers gun by Kilgore, produced 1938-1945 and featuring long top strap. Cast iron rotating cylinder takes Kilgore disc caps. "K" in circle incised on frame under cylinder on both sides. Slight warp to one grip but "Roy Rogers" name remains strong on both grips. Gun appears to have had some use as hammer and interior/cylinder face have some darkened areas but overall gun is VF. Rare and among the most desirable Western character guns.
