Item Description
3.5". During a major speech in West Berlin on June 26, 1963 while speaking figuratively JFK stated "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" attempting to say "I Am A Citizen Of Berlin" some translated it to "I Am A Jelly Doughnut". Cartoonists had a field day w/the gaffe which has been debated ever since. Cello separation along collet between 4 and 11 o'clock with air marks on surface in same area. These buttons were produced very cheaply and almost all display similar defects. VG. A classic and historical Kennedy item.
