Item Description
21.25x28" poster features wonderful graphics of stern-looking Santa Claus in full doughboy uniform w/rifle slung over shoulder. Santa has bag marked "W.S.S." for War Saving Stamps over his shoulder and holds a big handful of the stamp albums in his hand. Poster was regional issue w/bold "'Over The Top' Illinois!" text. 1917. Poster has been linen-mounted and has had some fill-ins and restoration to margins, but this is only noticeable upon close inspection, poster now displaying NM w/lt. even aging. Scarce local issue poster.
