Item Description
Exquisite hand-decorated porcelain sculpture atop wood base has overall size of 13x20.5x14" tall. Sculpted by Enzo Arzenton. He first started producing sculptures for the Laurenz Disney Collection in 1983 and continued to do so until he retired in 1999, production on all Disney pieces then ceased. This piece was first released during the 1980s, w/actual production much lower than initially stated, w/only 322 produced. Back of porcelain base is marked "66 LTD 2500" while underside of wooden base is marked "N359." Original issue price was $3,800. Sculpture depicts tea party scene from "Alice In Wonderland," featuring Alice, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Dormouse, White Rabbit (who has been colored mint green in this instance) and the Cheshire Cat, who grins from overhanging tree. Front of wooden base has Italian brass nameplate. Back of the piece has company markings and incised artist signature. Does not come with the original box or numbered COA. Some aging to gold luster silverware, but o/w sculpture is NM as issued. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Disney Collectibles" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
