Item Description
Original 6.5x9.5" mailing envelope w/illustrated "Headquarters - Captain Marvel Club" return address has typed recipient name/address and 1943 postage strip w/"Remember Pearl Harbor" text. Envelope shows expected mailing wear w/creases and corner tip wear to label. Fine. Comes w/complete set of three similarly designed 3x4" shield-shaped felt patches w/silk-screened designs. © Fawcett Publications Inc. These were also referred to as emblems (as noted on envelope label) and each is scarcer four-color variety and featuring standing full figure individual images of Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr. and Mary Marvel. Varying degrees of wear to original backing, Captain Marvel Jr. shows the most wear. Fronts of Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel remain clean and VF/Exc. w/strong silk-screening. Captain Marvel Jr. has even aging to felt but retains strong silk-screening. Fine. Rare as a complete set and w/envelope.
