Item Description
19x24.5" linen mounted. 1884. Multigate image includes portraits of a dozen additional Democratic party figures including Tilden, Thurman and former Confederate Brigadier General and Georgia Senator Alfred H. Colquitt. Candidate biographies below portraits and chart at bottom center listing the "Popular And Electoral Vote For President 1880." A "Library Of Congress Jul 17, 1884" stamp at bottom center and "Microfilmed" stamp at bottom right. Horizontal sealed tear affecting "Democratic Candidates," one each vertical/horizontal folds and moderate edge wear. VG. A rare and impressive poster that we can not recall encountering in 53 years.
