Item Description
Large 3.5" dia. lacquered papier mache snuff box captioned below "Gen. Zach. Taylor" with slogan surrounding "Old Rough And Ready - The Hero Of The War With Mexico." Some typical darkening of the paint but only .25" dia. darker spot at far left and otherwise wear is limited to very slight, narrow 1.5" rub line along right extreme edge. First we've been able to offer in many years and a fine example with condition exceeding most surviving examples.
