Item Description
c. 1860 print with 6x8.75" image area matted under glass along with ink signature on 5/8x3" long paper. Print caption reads "S.A. Douglas Likeness From The Latest Photograph Taken From Life." Print and signature are in vintage wood frame recessed 1" below frame edge creating shadow box-like effect. Wood is likely recently refinished with varnish over walnut color. Reverse has original wood backing plus 1.75x2" original label from Watertown, Wisconsin picture frame dealer. Frame has 1" hairline across one ornamental leaf at bottom left with all else displaying Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
