Item Description
This truly impressive item is filled w/detailed information and images in every way, shape and form covering all aspects of the Mickey Mouse Club operated by movie theaters across the country. 9x11.5" cardstock folio cover holds complete set of 29 single-sided 8.5x11" sheets, bound at left w/pair of brass clips. Complete cover text reads "General Campaign Covering Launching And Operation Of The Mickey Mouse Club - An Organization For Boys And Girls Being A Summary Of: What The Mickey Mouse Club Is: What It Does For The Theater: What It Means For The Children, And How To Organize And Conduct A Mickey Mouse Club." Includes classic image of Mickey wearing a club button w/small 1930 Walter E. Disney copyright below. We show some of the most interesting pages in the catalog and online. These are graphic-centric, while many feature only text. Club items shown include - membership application form, store window card, one sheet poster, window card, "Chief Mickey Mouse" officer button, birthday card, stock pass, membership card, standard club button. There are three pages of "Miscellaneous Mats" featuring great images of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Detailed text includes subjects such as "Forming A Club, The Merchant's Angle, Formal Organization And Opening Ceremonies, Mickey Mouse Orchestra," etc. While all 29 single sheets are here, the index lists five inserts, four of which are not included and these are "Announcement Folders, Theme Song Folders, Full Page Mat Window Card." Folio does includes three copies (on different color paper) of "Order Sheet - Supplies" (which lists items/prices). All pages have lt even aging but remain supple, clean and Exc. Cover is also evenly aged and shows moderate edge wear w/3-3/8" sliver off top left corner edge. Cover also has small edge tears/creases as well as 2" and 2.25" edge splits at top/bottom right. Pair of .25" edge tears at lower right. Cover is VG/Fine. Rare and just the second we've seen in our 53 years and one of the most interesting Disney items we have ever offered. An invaluable reference for the club.
