Item Description
9x9-5/8" album w/20 pages, containing complete set of 180 thin paper color tinted cards. Each is 2x2-7/8" and mounted at appropriate spots. Issued in Spain by Fher (known for their album and card sets). 1940s. One of two different Capt. Marvel albums released by Fher (see next item). Great cover art features Capt. Marvel and villain The Scorpion. Pages feature Spanish captions below each card (which features photo images as opposed to art as seen in other set), telling the story of the 1941 Republic movie serial "Adventures Of Captain Marvel," which starred Tom Tyler and Frank Coghlan Jr. in the title role. Lt. aging to cover and pages. Fine to VF. Cards are overall EX to NM as mounted. Rare complete album, only the second we've seen in our 53 years, the other sold in our previous auction for $1,213.
