Item Description
27x41.5" poster for the original release of the classic 1958 Sci-Fi film directed by Nathan H. Juran (credited as Nathan Hertz) and starring Allison Hayes (as the titular 50 Foot Woman), William Hudson and Yvette Vickers. The film was distributed in the US by Allied Artists on a double bill w/"War Of The Satellites." Poster is dominated by iconic image of Hayes straddling raised highway w/a wrecked car in her one hand as she reaches towards wrecked cars w/her other. Poster was originally folded and has now been linen-mounted w/scattered professional border restoration and scattered color touch-ups along fold lines. Approx. 1" tear repair just above city skyline at left. Original drive-in showing text that was handwritten on roadway behind the 50 Foot Woman's knee has been professionally touched-up, restoring poster to its original appearance. Poster retains deep color (it is often found faded) and displays Exc. as linen-mounted.
