Item Description
Large and impressive 79x80.25" poster for the original release of the 1955 "Creature From The Black Lagoon" sequel, the second in a series of three films produced by Universal-International during the 1950s. Directed by Jack Arnold, the film stars John Agar and Lori Nelson and was also Clint Eastwood's film debut. Poster features great graphics of the Creature w/a swooning woman held in his claws as panicked crowd flees in bkg. Poster has a few scattered areas of professional restoration to margins as well as scattered color touch-ups along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. There has been some restoration to beginning of John Agar's last name along bottom, but o/w poster retains deep and vivid colors and maintains a clean appearance. Both the Creature and his victim's faces remain untouched. Poster now displays Exc. as linen-mounted. Rare, as these six-sheet posters saw much more limited printing than their one-sheet counterparts. An exceptional piece that will easily become the focal point of any monster collection.
