Item Description
14.25x28" on thin cardboard. The dead were a late replacement for original headliners Delaney-Bonnie & Friends this change occurred after the posters were printed and the promoter covered the top billing w/a 4x8.5" label reading "The Grateful Dead." The Nov. 15, 1970 show at the "Washington Ave. Armory" also featured "Pacific Gas & Electric" and "Buddy Miles." Handwritten in lower field "Tickets At Armadillo 212 Washington." Corner bends and light wrinkling most notably at lower right. Reverse has small tape stain at top center and top left corner. Faint age toning and handling wear. Fine. The show was interrupted by a bomb threat causing an evacuation of the building. The Dead had yet to take the stage but had received their $10,000 guarantee. After police determined there was no threat the concert began again but the Dead had skipped town headed for New York City and a gig the next night at the Fillmore East.
