Item Description
13.5x13.5x16.5" tall (16.5x27" flat) cardboard record store display promotes the release of "Imagine," the second solo studio album by John Lennon, released on Sept. 9, 1971 by Apple Records. Open top/bottom display was designed to be either hung or for counter display, each side featuring different art. Art is stylized version of actual album cover, which featured photo taken by Yoko Ono set amidst field of clouds. Main panel of display features Apple logo and each subsequent panel features less and less of Lennon's face until just his eyes and glasses remain. Display shows some scattered wear from use w/corner/handling creases and .75" and 1" splits at bottom of fold lines. Missing generic interior cardboard support brace, but this is easily replaced. Fine overall but still very nice for display. Rare as these displays saw limited distribution.
