24x23". Cotton. Threads of History plate #581 on p.255. Reads "1888 Harrison & Morton 1892" featuring graphic of eagle perched on rock w/three baby eagles in nest. Additional text "Civil Service Reform" and "Reduction Of Surplus". Border has 39 chain linked stars each containing the abbreviation of a state. Scattered small light brown spots of toning throughout, two small margin holes at extreme top right corner, two printing errors affecting the Ohio and Wisconsin stars at right and moderate even fading of dark blue ink w/the red ink remaining bold. Fine. This example will display beautifully when framed.
