Item Description
2.5" long including ribbon. Hake #3035. Brass shell hanger and shield are 2" long. Left facing portrait w/American flags at top and most unusual text "Our Centennial President 1876" below. We have encountered other examples featuring Garfield likely a result of a manufacturer utilizing overstock. Superb luster on brass shell and hanger. Ferro has only trivial wear retaining a watery sheen in reflected light. NM. A high grade example of a superior and unusual 1880 badge. See next item for a different variety.
