Item Description
2.5" w/filled metal back & horizontal bar pin. Dewey made his name prosecuting the mob racket in New York City. We believe this is from '44 Presidential campaign as it bears strong similarities to a "Roosevelt" button utilizing the same construction and textured paper.  Tiny bump at right in blue field as made. Otherwise only moderate surface wear in reflected light. Exc. displaying Mint as made. This is the first example we've encountered in our 53 years. An outstanding Dewey rarity. John Pendergrass Collection.
