Item Description
2-5/8x3.75".  Satchell Paige (1906-1982) was a Negro League and MLB pitcher who is notable for his longevity in the game (Paige was the oldest rookie in MLB history when he joined the Cleveland Indians in 1948 at age 42), and for attracting record crowds wherever he pitched. Paige played MLB w/Cleveland Indians 1948-49, St. Louis Browns 1951-53, Kansas City Athletics 1965. He was a five-time Negro League All-Star (1934, 1936, 1941-43) and two-time All-Star (1952-53) and 1948 World Series champ. Paige was the first electee of the Negro League Committee to be inducted into the Baseball HOF in 1971.
