Item Description
1.25". After the disastrous 1904 "Sibley fire" gutted the original store and leveled much of the city's dry goods district, the Rochester, NY firm re-opened in 1905. Thus this button reads "Santa Claus At Sibley, Lindsay & Curr Co's New Store". Wonderful color with large wreath and Santa wearing his own wreath on his head as he displays the new edifice five stories tall. Reverse has W&H paper with large text "The Big Christmas Store Contains Everything In Gifts Dear To The Heart Of Childhood". Great color and gloss. Rare. NM displaying Mint. Ron Koot Collection.
