Item Description
14x22" w/"New York 490" union bug in lower left corner. c. 1964. Recruiting poster for the Congress Of Racial Equality featuring candid photo from a demonstration. Additional text reads "In Employment/In Housing/In Schools/In Community" and "Join CORE". Older canvas mounting w/light stains on reverse that do not affect poster. Poster has two horizontal folds, edge wear from middle to lower right and moderate handling. Fine. Striking image from the height of the civil right movement.
