Pair of hard plastic pails w/illustrated tin litho handles featuring repeated portraits of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy. Marx, 1950s. Larger is 5.25" tall (8.5" to top of raised handle) and has Mickey sand mold on bottom. "Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse" decal on side is nearly complete w/just a few tiny flakes. Sand mold has hairline across face and handle is slightly misshapen. Smaller is 3-7/8" tall (6" to top of raised handle) and has Donald sand mold on bottom. "Walt Disney's Donald Duck" decal on side shows Donald and his nephews. This has aged and has two 1/8" flakes at left. Handle shows some lt. wear. Both are still VF/Exc. overall. Scarce as Marx had pail license for a short time between Ohio Art and Chein. We have seen a Cinderella pail before, but this the first of either Mickey or Donald we've seen in our 53 years.
