Item Description
Pair of 11x17.25" Marvel artboards feature the complete original art for cover to "Despicable Deadpool" #293, published by Marvel Jan. 2018. Art is by Mike Hawthorne, noted for his work on "Deadpool, Queen & Country, Conan: Road Of Kings" and other titles. He has been nominated for both Harvey and Eisner awards. Cover art depicts Deadpool sitting and pulling the petals off a daisy, unaware of the danger he is in as an angered Rogue appears behind him, hefting an immense boulder over his head. First artboard has blue/lead pencil preliminary original art. Second artboard has Hawthorne's final inked artwork, which was inked over print of preliminary pencils and used to produce the cover. Hawthorne has signed his name at lower left of each. Both artboards remain clean and art is Exc. Wonderful art from the artist who has illustrated more Deadpool pages than any other comic artist.
