Complete set of 86 different comic character buttons given with Pep Cereal in 1945-1946. Each is 13/16" litho color portrait. This is a very high grade set with only minimal paint wear. All NM to Mint. This set inspired more comic character collectors than any other item of the 1940s and as these go into collections, it is becoming increasingly difficult to assemble a high grade condition set such as this. Individually, the dozen rarest characters would easily bring $50 in NM condition and the other 74 average around $20 each or more for total exceeding $2,000, but here they are at one shot, an instant high grade collection.
