Item Description
2-7/8" dia. Papier Mâché. Text "Martin Van Buren 8th President Of The United States" above a full color portrait of the 1836 candidate set against a metallic gold background. Typical surface crazing but otherwise only trivial wear. Exc. A superb example of this rarely offered early display piece. Van Buren display items are notoriously elusive and this is among the finest examples we have encountered in our 53 years.
