Item Description
7.75x10.5" on "Governor Of Kansas" stationery. Dated "July 11, 1936" the day before he would be nominated at the Cleveland, OH Republican National Convention.  Landon writes to "Mr. Alfred Raff" in appreciation for "comments Concerning The Republican Platform" adding "The Tide Is Swinging In Our Favor, And The Trend Will Increase As The Campaign Progresses." Signed boldly in black fountain pen ink "Alf M. Landon" at conclusion. A 3" wide band of toning affecting left side. Staple holes at top left and five horizontal folds w/four tiny paper chips at edges of mailing folds. VG. Comes w/original mailing envelope, Hake's COA and JSA COA.
