Item Description
Stiff 8.5x11" glossy promotional sheet promoting Rocky Marciano (1923-1969), who competed 1947 to 1955, holding the World Heavyweight title from 1952 to 1956. He went undefeated in his career and defended the title six times. Promotional sheet is noted as being "Compliments Of Acme Supply And Sales Inc." Sheet features portrait of Marciano at upper left and various boxing poses by noted sports cartoonist/writer Murray Olderman, documenting all 49 of his fights w/"Undefeated Heavyweight Champion Of The World" caption. Late 1950s. Marciano has boldly signed "Rocky" under his portrait image in green felt tip pen. Sheet has pin holes at top corners and bottom center and shows some scattered handling wear. Fine overall, but signature remains distinct. Exceptional signed piece for the only heavyweight champion to finish his career undefeated. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
