2.25" cello. w/"Boston 9" union bug. Text reads "Forward-To-'54' Dinner New England Press Boston Garden Sept. 21, 1953" w/serial number "60" below. Exc. displaying Mint. Second is 3" dia card stock tag w/"Trip Of The President" on reverse and "President Eisenhower's Visit To Boston Press Sept. 21, 1953" w/"Boston 18" union bug in field on front. Exc. Contemporary reporting in the Boston Globe notes that "Well Over 100,000 People Lined The Streets From The Sumner Tunnel, Throughout Haymarket Sq., Scollay Sq. And In The Theatrical And Insurance Districts." Ike spoke to 5,000 GOP members from around the New England area in a ramp up to 1954 mid-term elections fundraising at the $100 a plate dinner.
