Item Description
6-1/8x13-3/8" artboard has pen and ink original art for unpublished 1940s comic story featuring Justice Society of America member The Atom. Partial page from unpublished story features two panels showing The Atom utilizing a gymnastic rings to fight two men. Illustrated by Golden Age DC Comics artist Joe Gallagher, who worked on "World's Finest Comics, Comic Cavalcade, Sensation Comics" and "All-American Comics," a title in which The Atom had his adventures published. The Atom appears in both panels. Artboard remains clean and art displays Exc. It appears likely that art is among the partial-page Golden Age original art that was saved from oblivion by DC interns during the 1970s. Dan Makara Collection.
