Item Description
17-3/8x24-1/8" beautifully crafted custom frame holds 11x14.75" printed sheet w/animator's art for the 1943 Famous Studios cartoon "The Mummy Strikes." Sheet has brown paper label at center w/"Irving J. Levine" typed name and production number at bottom center. model sheet focuses on the immense Egyptian Royal Guards seen in the cartoon, w/center scene showing Superman battling group of guards. Superman is seen twice more, once as an outline size scale and again at lower left. Vertical fold at center w/scattered aging/handling wear w/.25" slice at center left. Fine overall. Extremely limited distribution, for studio use only. Model sheet is further enhanced by great frame created by artist Dan Makara, featuring collage style utilizing various Superman comic panels from the 1940s, including advertisement mentioning the 1940s "Superman" cartoons at upper left.
