Item Description
1.5" without maker name but with union bug on reverse center. Button illustartes a pair of happy bears shaking hands and each holding a bat. The 1929 Chicago Cubs ball club finished in first place in the National League with a record of 98-54 under National Baseball Hall of Fame Manager, Joe McCarthy. Leading the offense was a quartet of future Baseball Hall of Famers: Rogers Hornsby,  Gabby Hartnett, Hack Wilson and Kiki Cuyler. Chicago would go on to lose the World Series to the American League champion, Philadelphia Athletics in five games.  About 25% of the back has oxidation just a bit heavier than normal.
