Item Description
1.25" dia. silvered metal case watch w/beautiful celluloid dial featuring Mickey Mouse, whose hands point at the numerals. Second hand disc w/three small Mickey Mouse images positioned between Mickey's legs. Made in England, 1934. The first version of this watch was issued in 1933 (see previous item) and featured a non-traditional image of Mickey which was quickly revised to the classic Mickey image that appears on this dial. Comes w/original brown leather straps. Watch ticks a few seconds but needs a basic cleaning to run. Case shows scattered lt. wear to bezel and back has two spots w/brass showing through silver luster. Crystal has some lt. surface scratches which are mainly visible only in reflected light. VF overall w/NM dial. A rare and desirable character timepiece.
