Item Description
10-3/8x15-7/8" artboard has pencil original art by Curt Swan that has been inked by Bob Oksner. Art is for page 13 of "Superman" #286, published by DC Comics April 1975. Page featured six panels, showing Clark Kent changing into Superman to confront approaching alien fleet over Metropolis only to find Lex Luthor in last two panels. Top margin has stamped title and inked publication month as well as issue/page numbers. Aged strips of tape staining at top/bottom center margins. Art remains clean. Artboard has separate artboard attached on back, w/cut-out starburst revealing specialty original art by Swan, showing Clark Kent opening his shirt to reveal an immense belly, an homage to Swan's cover for "Superman" #221). Specialty art has hand-lettered word balloon reading "Great Krypton! Muriel Did This To Me??!!" w/inscription reading "With Wishes For Great Success - Curt Swan '75." Starburst is surrounded by thick red marker outline, accenting specialty art. Exc. display. Comes w/reading copies of comic page art was published for as well as copy of "Superman" #221.
