Item Description
2-1/16", no maker, with concave brass luster back and bar pin. Likely made for the 1947 World Series vs. the New York Yankees. The 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers were winners of the National League pennant with a record of 94-60 under manager Burt Shotton. The offense was led by a quartet of future National Baseball Hall of Famers: rookie Jackie Robinson (1B), Pee Wee Reese (SS), Arky Vaughan (UT) and rookie Duke Snider (OF). The Dodgers would go on to lose a tough seven game World Series to the mighty New York Yankees. Reverse pin made tiny front bump below the "7" when assembled. Very minor. Glossy and Exc.
