Item Description
Scarce 2-1/8", no maker. Many buttons in this format and size are real photos without a dot screen; however, a screen is present on this. Warren Spahn began his Major League Baseball career with the Boston Braves in 1942 before missing the next three seasons due to military service during World War II. Upon his return to the Braves, Spahn would spend the next 19 seasons as the club's ace pitcher, winning 20 or more games an incredible 13 times along with winning a Cy Young award in 1957. Spahn would retire after the 1965 season with a career record of 363-245 along with an ERA of 3.09 and 2,583 strikeouts. Spahn was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973.
