Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid featuring graphics of Superman lifting tank and side panel graphics on two sides w/Superman facing tank contains battery-operated Line Mar toy, ©1958 Superman Co. Inc. Box has partial original store price sticker on lid's left side panel and shows scattered wear w/edge/corner creases. Left side panel of lid has partial repair to 4.75" tear and front side panel has repair to 2" tears at bottom corner. Small puncture to right side panel. Box is VG overall. 4.5" tall by 8" long tin litho tank (dark green w/brown turret variety, toy also produced in other colors/combinations) w/wire rods on front which attach to 4.5" tall tin litho Superman figure w/fabric cape. All functions work, tank moves forward/backward, stops, then Superman lifts it up/down. Tank has some lt. scattered wear in the form of small nicks/scratches w/some factory paint touch-ups to front corner of tank body, but remains quite nice for display. Superman's leg is aged and shows lt. wear while edges of cape are frayed. Fine/VF. Rare.
