Item Description
8.5x9" thin cardboard box w/perforated display lid contains set by Parks Plastic Company, ©1956 NCP, Inc. Box features image of Superman flying beside Krypton Rocket. Lid's perforations have been punched and majority of lid is loose from rest of box, separated at left/right by bottom of perforation; .75" partial tear above fold line tear at right, still attached w/surface paper. Box is evenly aged w/both front corners split and has aged strips of tape and staple hole at upper right. Original store tag taped to bottom of box; tape has yellowed w/age. Good/VG. Box is complete w/die-cut insert holding three hard plastic pieces, each about 5" long. These include - reserve fuel tank, pump unit and rocket. Tail fins of blue rocket (see red rocket color variety, item #1572) have relief "S" emblem and "Superman" comic book title/logo plus "Krypton Rocket" name. Toy uses water as fuel and "Operates On A Real Jet Propulsion Principle." Underside has illustrated instructions and offer for extra rockets. Insert and contents are unused, though rocket has some aging and is VF. Rest of contents are NM.
