Item Description
11x17" DC Comics artboard has pencil original art by Alan Weiss that has been inked by José Luis García-López. Art is for page 50 of "Batman: The Blue, The Grey And The Bat" Elseworlds one-shot, published by DC Comics Jan. 1993. Alternate timeline story saw Batman and Robin (renamed Redbird) during the US Civil War. Page features five panels, showing Batman and Redbird saying their goodbyes to Sam Clemens (aka Mark Twain) and Wild Bill Hickok and then mounting their horses (Batman's festooned in bat-themed tack). Batman appears in every panel, Redbird appears in three. Word balloons are paste-over stats. Top margin has inked page number. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. Top/bottom margins have aged strips of tape and artboard has minor corner tip wear, but o/w art remains clean and Exc.
