Item Description
11x17" paper poster w/horizontal/vertical folds at center as issued. Poster features great image of Superman from the knees up, holding sign that reads "Help Smash The Axis." Poster was printed in Sept. 1942 by American Educators Wartime Council and has "© Superman, Inc." text by image. One of three similar but different war years posters printed in support of the US Treasury Department and the US Office of Education. Additional text reads "This School Proudly Participates" w/blank box provided for school's name at bottom, this example's is unused though back of poster has small "Monroe County School District" inkstamp at lower corner edge. Bright, clean and Exc. Scarce. Impressive display piece.
