Item Description
Single-sided 8.5x11" letter on "Macy's Superman Adventure" letterhead (featuring image of Superman flying) is dated Dec. 1940 and was sent out to apologize for Superman show cancellation/delay. It also served to return admission price and issue two complimentary rain check tickets. Bottom margin has names of sponsors including - Superman Inc., Journal American and WOR Radio 710. Folded twice as mailed but o/w Exc. Comes w/2.5x5" complete "Complimentary Admission" ticket for show at New York City Macy's Toyland. "WOR Radio 710" sponsor name on stub. Iconic image of Superman at left w/"©Superman, Inc." text. Ticket has been stamped in green ink on ticket portion "Rain Check - Any Performance" and "Rain Check" on stub. Unused and NM.
