Item Description
Lot of three paper items issued 1943-1945, each featuring illustration of Captain Marvel. 4x6-3/8" envelope for "War Stamp Savings Book" features image of Captain Marvel smashing Nazi swastika w/"Smash The Axis" text. Back has image of Captain Marvel and Uncle Sam rolling up their sleeves/taking off coat for a fight. Envelope has some aging but is o/w unused and VF. 8-3/8x10-7/8" letter mentions upcoming Jack Armstrong contest that has Cub Trainer airplane and flying lessons as grand prize. Folded as mailed and evenly aged. VF/Exc. 3.25x5.5" postcard w/Captain Marvel message noting that the card was to be dipped in water and every time this was done a "Secret Message" would appear on the back in "Magic Ink." Typed recipient name/address. Card shows moderate aging and handling wear w/some scattered creases. Fine overall.
