8.75x14". Issued by the "New Jersey Railroad & Transportation Co." announcing the "Special Arrangement For The Transport Of The Remains Of The Late President Abraham Lincoln Over The New Jersey Railroad On Monday, April 21, 1865 Under Instructions From The War Department." Covers 7:55am to 10:00am when the train was "Due At New York." Canvas mounted to 11.25x17.5" w/extensive restoration and touch ups including added border and filled holes. Tape remnants in field, holes affecting text, heavy handling wrinkles and age toning throughout. A true survivor and despite its blemishes still displaying nicely. The only example we've seen in 53 years and given the limited distribution very likely the only extant.
