Item Description
11x17" thin Marvel Comics artboard features artist Sal Buscema's pen and ink original art for page 20 of "Spectacular Spider-Man" #153, published by Marvel Aug. 1989. Buscema is noted for his work on 1970s issues of "Captain America, Defenders, Incredible Hulk, Marvel Team-Up" and "Spectacular Spider-Man." Six panel page features an injured Spider-Man battling Hammerhead in first three panels while Tombstone battles Bruiser in last two panels. Top margin has stamped title and handwritten issue/page numbers. Margins have scattered production notations. Buscema has signed bottom of second panel in black felt tip pen. Bottom center has page number paste-over. Top corners and top center margin have pin holes. Artboard has some corner tip wear w/faint horizontal crease running across artboard below Buscema's signature, but art remains clean and displays Exc.
