Item Description
Part of the Marvel Family Statuettes series by R.W. Kerr Company. 1946. Set consists of Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr., Mary Marvel and Hoppy the Marvel Bunny. Offered here is Captain Marvel in C.C. Beck-designed box features great art including Captain Marvel holding Mary Marvel statuette on one panel while other panel depicts all four statuettes in series. End flap has "Captain Marvel" stamped name. Box is complete w/lt. even aging and shows wear w/1" puncture to side panel w/"The Famous Marvel Family" text. Some scattered moisture staining to end flaps. Box o/w remains clean and comes w/original packing material. Fine overall. Solid 6.5" tall painted plastic figure includes name on front of base and Fawcett Publications Inc. copyright on back. Statuette has Kerr decal under base, which has some minor edge flaking at top, but is near complete. Figure has had cape reattached and shows some pink staining at this area. Displays VF.
