Item Description
6.5x9.5x7.5" deep nicely illustrated box contains exceptional tin litho toy by S&E Japan early 1960s. Box shows details of operation of toy and illustrations of fighter pilots in cockpit and in pursuit. Box has scattered moderate edge wear and some dust soiling. One side panel has 3x5" piece of brown paper tape applied, top of box has a 1/8x2" strip of additional surface paper adhered at left center. Overall box is still bright, tight and Fine. The large toy consists of cockpit with fold-down wings and large propeller which sits on tripod with legs that has the attached hand control lever to operate all functions. All features work, propeller rotates, images of planes are visible on radar screen. Screen lights red when pilot lever is pressed. Machine gun sound is produced. Tiny .25" indent and crease line on top of toy, rest of toy has some very minor scattered traces of wear. All remains bright, glossy and VF. Exceptional in both design and functions. Rare. $300- $500
