Item Description
1.75"dia. No maker but w/union back stamp. Spring pin holding ribbon, chain and plastic ball and glove. Carl Yastrzemski began his MLB career w/the Boston Red Sox in 1961 and would go on to spend his entire 23 year career w/the BoSox. Taking over in left field for the recently retired Ted Williams, Yaz would patrol the green monster out there like no other, winning a total of seven golden glove awards for his defensive prowess. In 1967, Yastrzemski would lead the Boston Red Sox to an "impossible dream" season, winning an American League pennant, while at the same time, taking home the American League's triple crown, batting .326 w/44 HR's and 121 RBI's. Of course, Yaz was selected as the American League's MVP for that amazing 1967 season. Yastrzemski's career numbers are tremendous, a 285 batting average along w/452 homers and 1,844 RBI's and Yaz was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1989. Ribbon shows wear, VG. Button has barely noticeable spot on rim at 11 o'clock. Stilly glossy and Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
