Item Description
1.75" dia. No maker. Spring pin holding ribbon, chain and plastic ball and glove. Roy Campanella began his MLB career w/the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1948 following a storied career in the Negro Leagues, playing primarily for the Baltimore Elite Giants team during the early-mid 1940s. Campy would spend his entire 10 year MLB career w/the Dodgers, winning three National League MVP awards in the process. Campanella finished his career w/a batting average of .276 along w/242 home runs and 856 RBI's. Campanella was selected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969. Entire piece shows all over wear/aging. Slight fade to ribbon. Age tone to bkg. Front has some age spotting and metal back has oxidation. VG. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
