Item Description
3.5" large and impressive button. No maker. Text w/baseball image at center. In 1962 the Giants finished tied with the Dodgers for first place in the National League with a record of 103 wins and 62 losses. In a three game tiebreaker playoff to determine the pennant winner, the Giants came away victorious. This was their first National League title since moving to San Francisco, making the Giants the first NL Champions of the 162-game schedule era. However, they lost the World Series in seven games to the NY Yankees. Most silver finish is off the metal back. Lt. wear to front but remains glossy. VF. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
